Chongqing’s food is based on the SiChuan diet which is very spicy. Sichuan is a favorite flavor type, ranking first in major cuisine. Today there are 24 kinds of Sichuan flavor types, divided into three categories. The first is the spiciest; the second is also spicy but very aromatic; and the third category is salty and sour.
